BOOM CHUCK A! BOOM CHUCK A! (bounces up and down) THE BIG FIGHTING SCENE!! WOO HOO!! (picks up Chico the dog and spins around) Okay calm down (breathing slowly) Okay. This chapter is the BIG scene. You know, the fight where the good guys, fight the boss guy. Well I hope I did the fighting scene okay, you know it's not that easy. Especially when their fighting in their guymelifs. (sighs with frustration) it took me for EVER to get it to sound good. So I hope it turned out okay.

I just want to say that I do not own the characters from the show, but I do own the characters that the original's meet. You'll understand when you read.

The Vision of Escaflowne ~ The Dracoinian Sphere"

Dravo paced in his studies. {What is Baado up to?} thought Dravo, he raised his right index finger to his chin and bowed his head. {Baado's been acting strange ever since we finally got our hands on the girl Hoshino. Hoshino or should I say Hitomi. Hmmmm} Dravo lowered his hand and slammed them down on his table. "DAMMIT!! WHY CAN'T I GET HER OUT OF MY MIND!!!!"

Knock! Knock!

Dravo spun around and faced his studies doors just when they opened. Dravo tidied himself up and relaxed his composure. "Come in." said Dravo calmly. Maru walked into Dravo's room and stood in the entrance way. Dravo looked at him suspiciously , "What's the problem? Have you heard anything?"

"No sir. We haven't heard anything yet about the aliens." said Maru, in a concern voice. "Sir if I may? ...."

"What is it Maru?" asked Dravo as he leaned himself back against his desk.

"It's about Baado!" Dravo listened intently. "Do you think he is trust worthy?"

Dravo cocked an eyebrow, and then he pushed himself off of the desk. "Yes everything is well, you have nothing to fear about Baado." a look of satisfaction swiped through Maru's face when Dravo said that. {I can't have any miss judgments among my crew, until I find out what he is up too. I must act natural.} Maru looked at Dravo suspiciously. Dravo cleared his throat and gave an icy stare to Maru. "Prepare the mobile suits around the city."

"Sir?"

"Tomorrow is the big day. We should have a welcoming party for are new friends when they arrive. Don't you think?" smirked Dravo, Maru smiled back and he left the room. Dravo stared at his door as it slowly closed behind Maru, He then turned his head to the side and peered out his window from the corner of his eye. Thought's of Baado, the aliens, Van and Hitomi kept on passing through his mind, Dravo grimaced at the thought's.

"LORD VAN!!!!!" screamed Merle, as she shoved the men that were blocking the doorway out of her way. "LORD VAN! ARE YOU ALRIGHT!!!" Merle slumped to the ground beside Van and grabbed his arm.

Van turned his gaze to Merle and smiled at her. A large smile spread across Merle's face, and a long sigh of relief escaped her lips. Van slowly stood up, and stretched his back, sharp pain shot through his body. Each step he took crunched down on broken glass that laid on the floor. He peered down at the lifeless body of Lavar, blood oozed out from underneath Lavar's body and trailed down the deck. Merle groaned in disgust, and the other men in the room started to talk among themselves. Just then Ryu and Allen came into the room.

"Whoa! Talk about your fixer uppers!" awed Ryu, as he looked around the room.

"Van are you all right?" Allen looked down at the body on the floor. "Who's that?"

"Looks like it was Lavar." said Ryu as he bent down beside the body and started to poke it.

"Don't do that!" hissed Merle as she swatted at Ryu.

"Lavar?" said Allen questionably.

Van just stared down at the body. {Dravo .....} thought Van, Van's eyes tightened into anger. "Everyone get ready! It's time to go!"

Next Day: Dawn (Hitomi's B.day)

Baado looked out his quarters window and looked out to the city. The city had been evacuated and mobile suits lined up and down the streets. He chuckled to himself and he turned around and exited his room and headed for the med. lab.

(Med. lab)

The med. lab door swung open and Baado stepped into the room. Hitomi's eyes flickered open at the sound of scrapping feet coming closer to her. "Wha ... What's going on?" stammered Hitomi as she started to pull on her restraints.

"Calm down my dear. There's nothing to worry about." said a hoarse voice from beside her.

Hitomi lifted her head off of the table, and looked over to the far wall, where the voice came from. Her eyes widened as she released where she had seen him before, flash's of her vision started to come back to her, of Yuri and her brother. "Your ... Your Baado!" stuttered Hitomi, Baado smirked and he walked over beside her. "What do you want from me!" Hitomi pulled on her restraints again, but to no avail.

Baado stopped beside her and he stared down at Hitomi with cold eyes. Hitomi shuddered and she twisted once again, but it only made Baado smirk even more. He then reached over Hitomi and grabbed some wires and attached them to Hitomi's forehead. Hitomi began to panic, and she tugged down with her arms. She watched Baado as he walked over to a strange machine, and he started to fool around with dials and switches.

"There done. Now all we have to do is wait!" said Baado, as he made his way back over to Hitomi's side. He then placed his right hand on her forehead and pushed her bangs back. "The time is coming closer, soon no one will be able to stop me!" snickered Baado, he then kneeled over and kissed Hitomi on the forehead, and then he lowered his mouth down to her ear. "Good bye my sweet niece." he whispered, he then lifted himself up and he walked towards the door and stopped. "Don't worry I'll be back later. To complete the procedure..... So please enjoy your stay." Baado chuckled to himself and left the room.

Hitomi turned her head from side to side and looked around her surroundings. She realized that she was in some type of medical lab. Hitomi sobbed to herself, trying to keep the tears back, and she closed her eyes. {What a wonderful birthday, it's everything *sniff* that I ever wanted *sniff sniff*} Hitomi couldn't take it any more, she new that ever since she been to this world she had been practically crying, and she new that crying doesn't solve anything. But her heart ached, it ached ever since she left Gaea, when she left Van, everything started to pile in on Hitomi, she couldn't fight it, she couldn't hold it in any more. When she was on Gaea she never cried this badly, but of course she had allies, friends, and Van. Van that is all she could take, her body ached and was worn down, emotions pulsed through her body that she had never felt before, fear, hurt, exhaustion, and love. Love for the one that she craved for, ever since she left the mystical planet and returned home.

"......Van"

Allen, Van, Gaddess, and Reeden and the other crew that new how to mobilized guymelifs stood in the woods on the out skirts of Arnpria. Escaflowne kneeled down on one leg and the cockpit to Escaflowne opened up, and Van walked out and perched himself on top of Escaflowne's raised hand. They all stared out into the city of Arnpria and eyed the mobile suits. On the far end, near the castle, stood a large mobile suit ((looks like Dilandou's guymelif, except it's black, and has more advanced weaponry)).

"There!" said Allen "Near the castle" everyone stared out towards the castle and noticed the mobile suit. "That must be Maru." said Allen calmly. Then Allen's guymelif's face piece lowered, and it turned and faced Van. Van looked over at Allen. "Van where's Ryu?"

Van had a puzzled look on his face, but he shrugged. "I don't know where he disappeared too. But I hope he knows what he's up against."

"I think he DOES know what he's up against, it's US who don't know what were up against!" laughed Gaddess from his blue Teiring.

The rest of the group started to laugh, that Ryu out of all people could actually help in this fight. But then Allen broke the silence. "Okay that's enough! ... Van it's time." The face piece of Scherazade slid closed. Van nodded and he jumped off of Escaflowne and landed on the ground. Allen watched Van as he disappeared into the woods, as he made his way around the city to get too the castle without getting noticed. Allen then raised his arm and motioned for his men to move forward. "All right move out!" he shouted, and they headed towards the entrance of Arnpria.

Three guards stood at the entrance of Arnpria in their mobile suits ((they look like green teirings except for there more bulky, and stronger, there fore slow but strong)). The three guards looked out at the woods nervously.

"Man why do we always get stuck at guarding the front gate?" said Guard 1 as he tightened his grip on his sythe.

"I don't know. Because where the best?" said Guard 3. Guard 1 and Guard 2 turned around and faced Guard 3. "What!?"

"Man sometimes you are soo clueless!" sighed Guard 2, as his mobile suit leaned forward and dropped it's arms to the side.

"Hey what's that?" asked Guard 1 as he pointed his arm out into the woods.

Guard 2 turned around but only to get a long spear thrown into his chest. "Ahhhhhhhh!!!! I HATE MY JOB!!!!!!"

KABOOM!!!!!!

Guard 1 raised his sythe and hovered it over his head, Guard 3 stood beside him and pulled out two large katana's. "What's going on!!" yelled Guard 3.

"Why do I always get stuck with you?" sighed Guard 3. "LOOK OUT!!!!!" From the woods two metallic claws wrapped around Guard 3's mobile suit. Guard 3 struggled to escape but it was no use, he then raised his gaze back to the woods and noticed another metallic claw come towards his mobile suit's head. "WHY ME!!!!!!! AHHHHHH!!!!!"

KABOOM!!!!!!

Guard 1 started to panic and he scanned the woods drastically. Then from out of the woods a green teiring appeared and headed towards him. Guard 1 sliced his sythe through the air. "AHHHHHH!!!!!! GO AWAY!!!!! I RESIGN!!!! I RESIGN!!!!" screamed Guard 1, and with that he tossed his sythe to the ground and ran off in the opposite direction.

The green teiring stopped at the gates rubbing it's forehead, and watched in shock as the mobile suit flung it's arms over its head, jumped over the city walls and disappeared out of sight. Scherazade and the other teirings emerged from the woods and walked over to the green teiring standing at the gates.

"What happened Gaddess?" asked Allen.

The green teiring turned around. "I don't know? I guess I made an impression on him." said Gaddess, as he reached down and grabbed the giant sythe from the ground. "Do you think he'll mind if I borrow this?" smirked Gaddess.

Allen didn't say anything, he then faced the woods to his right. {Van be careful my friend} thought Allen and then he turned around and entered Arnpria. 12 doz. mobile suits started to approach Allen's team. "Get ready men! And remember, try to stay alive." with that Allen charged forward with his men right behind him.

Van scaled his way along the city wall of Arnpria, making his way towards the castle. He could hear battling on the other side of the wall, he then stopped and looked up at the wall as a green mobile suit jumped over the wall and ran through the woods. {Okay. Now that was weird?} thought Van to himself. He then focused at what was at hand and continued his way down the wall. He stopped behind the castle, there were no other way in except for an open window above his head. It was too high to jump, and too slick to climb. So Van pulled his red tank top up over his head and tucked it underneath his arm. He scanned the surroundings to make sure that no one was watching, when he was sure that no one was around. He arched his back, and straightened his arms to his side as two long beautiful white wings protruted from his back, he then flapped them and flew to the open window. When he got back inside his wings retracted back into his body, and he lifted his top back on. Van scanned up and down the hallway, there was no one in sight. {humph. They must be all outside protecting the castle.} thought Van as he straightened himself up and closed his eyes. He started to picture the amulet in his mind like Hitomi taught him, and he started to picture Hitomi, the pendent in his mind shifted to his right, and Van then headed down the hallway. He made his way down hallway's, and more hallway's until he stopped infront of a door. Van reached for the knob and he pushed the door open, he gasped with relief when he noticed Hitomi lying down on a long table tied down. "HITOMI!!" yelled Van, as he ran up beside her.

Hitomi's eye's widened in shock and she whipped her head to her side and noticed Van. "VAN!!!!" Hitomi smiled and started to sob, as Van came over to her side. She started to tug at the restraints, and she lifted her head and motioned for Van to cut them. Taking this at what she meant, Van pulled his sword out and started to carefully cut the fabric restraints, until she was freed. When she was free of her restraint's Hitomi lounged into Van's arms and wrapped her arms around his neck, and buried her face into his chest. "Oh Van!" murmured Hitomi, as she tightened her grip around his neck.

Van looked startled at first but then he smiled, and he too wrapped his arms around Hitomi and pulled her closer to him. "Everything is gonna to be all right. Don't worry." said Van calmly. He then grasped her shoulders and pulled Hitomi away from him, and he stared into Hitomi's eyes. "It's time to go".

Hitomi smiled and she wiped away a tear from her face, and nodded. The two of them started to retrace the way that Van made, and stopped infront of the open window that he came through. Hitomi looked over the edge, and then stepped back and looked at Van. Van looked at her canivenly and he then reached underneath her feet and back and lifted her up into his arms. Hitomi gasped and closed her eyes, as Van jumped up on to the window ledge and jumped. There was a mild thud and Van groaned but he kept his balance, Hitomi opened her eyes to see that they were now on the ground, and Van was eyeing her triumphally. He then lowered her to the ground, and grabbed her arm, and started to pull her along the side of the city wall. After a few minutes Escaflowne started to come into view among the trees. But then Van stopped as a black figure emerged from the woods and stood in their path.

"Dravo!" whispered Van under clenched teeth.

Hitomi looked around Van shoulder and looked over at Dravo. {Oh no!} thought Hitomi.

Dravo eyed Van and then Hitomi, he then reached down to his side and withdrew his sword and pointed it towards Van. Van snarled and he too withdrew his sword, but then his eye's widened in amazement as the leather cloak that Dravo wore lifted off of his shoulders, to reveal that they were actually wings ((like bat wings)), Hitomi gasped behind Van's back.

"Hitomi! GO! Go some where safe!" yelled Van over his shoulder.

Hitomi nodded and she ran off behind some trees. Van then turned around and faced Dravo, he then realized what this scene looks like, and he then remembers the church, and the stained glass window. Van straightened up and he dug his sword into the ground and then he pulled his top off. Dravo looked at him suspiciously, but then his eyes too went wide in disbelief, as Van's wing's protruted out from his back. Van then grabbed his sword out of the ground and lifted up in front of his face. Dravo smirked and then he tooked off into the air, and Van then followed after him.

Hitomi ran out from her hiding and peered up into the sky. "VVVAANN!!!!!"

Van and Dravo eyed each other in the sky as their wings flapped to keep them steady in the air. Van snarled at Dravo, and Dravo smirked. "You got gut's boy! I like that in you. But do you actually think that you can defeat me?"

"I think I can handle it." snarled Van

"Oh ya that's right. You have love on your side. psh That's such an old custom! Well anywise enough talk. You'll never survive and Hitomi will then be mine!" smirked Dravo.

With that the two of them started to fight up in the sky.

"RRAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!"

Scherazade made his way through the mobile suits with Gaddess and Reedens help, and they made it to the black mobile suit guarding the castle. The three of them stopped and stared over the mobile suit.

"Well, well! look what we have here!" smirked Maru, as he withdrew his mobile suits sword. "Finally a match worth my while!"

Gaddess and Reeden went to step forward but Allen held them back at bay. "This one's mine!" said Allen calmly.

"But sir ......." said Gaddess and Reeden in unison. But Allen silence them as he withdrew Scherazade's sword, and stepped forward and got into a fighting stance.

Maru and Allen squared each other off, and then Maru made the first move. "RRAAAHHHH!!!! TAKE THIS SCUM!!!!!" yelled Maru as he charged forward.

"First mistake!" Allen brought his sword up and blocked Maru's attack. "NEVER UNDER ESTIMATE YOUR OPPONENTS!!" and Allen then pushed Maru's suit back. "Now it's my turn. RAAAAHHHH!!!" Allen lounged forward.

Allen and Maru started to battle each other, but they were equally match in skill. Both of their swords intertwined together and they pushed against each other, sparks, and the sound of grinding metal echoed through the battle field. Maru then activated another sword to appear from his other hand, and he thrusts his sword into Scherazade's side. Allen inside clenched his teeth as Scherazade's electrical wiring sparked and his movement became harder to control. Scherazade then fell on to one knee, but he still kept his sword pressing against Maru's first sword. Maru withdrew his second sword out of Scherazade's side and he raised it above his head and then brought it down on to Allen.

CLANG!!!!!!!

Maru's second sword went flying through the air as a metallic claw ripped off one of his arms. "Reeden!!!" smiled Allen, as he turned his head to see Reeden's metallic claw retract into his Teiring. Maru's mobile suit staggered backwards as his other arm was sliced off by a sythe that Gaddess borrowed from the entrance. "Gaddess! I knew I should of counted on you." Allen then faced Maru, and got Scherazade up on to it's feet.

Maru snarled and looked at his misfortune. {Damn the tables have turned} snarled Maru to himself.

"Now it's time to feel my wrath!! RAAAHHHHH!!!" yelled Allen, and he lounged up to Maru, and did a vertical slice with his sword. Everything went silent, and then Maru's mobile suit shifted down in the middle, and then exploded.

KABOOM!!!!!!

When Maru's mobile suit was destroyed, the few of the other followers started to retreat. For without a leader, they didn't have a chance of success and they new it. But the reluctant ones kept on fighting. Allen watched the scene going on, and then his attention focused to the sky, as white feathers started to drift down. The mobile suit's and guymelifs stopped fighting and they stared at the feathers falling from the sky, then they too stared up. In the air an aril fight was taking place.

{Van.} thought Allen as he continued to watch the battle. {Your on your own, good look}

Van and Dravo clashed swords together, each time not getting an edge in other wise. Hitomi stared up at the two of them fighting, she was tired of it all, she didn't want any more people to get killed for over her, enough was enough.

"VAN STOP!!!!" yelled Hitomi, but her words never reached him.

Van and Dravo clashed their swords again, and locked. "Your pretty good boy!" smirked Dravo as he grunted against his sword. "Pretty impressive, a matter of fact. I never even dreamed that you out of all people would have wings. That's probably why she likes you though." Van's eyes widened and then narrowed again, and he went to slash Dravo, but it was blocked once again. "What's the matter? You don't mean to tell me that you didn't know?"

"OF COURSE I KNOW! IT'S JUST! ....." Van trailed off, and snarled. "IT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!!!! SO PISS OFF!!!" Van lounged at Dravo, but Dravo blocked it again.

"Humph! You just might as well give up boy! Hitomi is mine, now and forever. You lost!" snarled Dravo.

Van's temper blew and rage piled in. Just what Dravo wanted. Van then flew forward and headed towards Dravo, with his sword raised over his head. Van then brought his sword down on to Dravo's chest, but Dravo swiftly dodged Van's attack and moved over to the side. Van flew right by him, then just like in slow-mo Van flipped his body over, just to see Dravo turn around with his sword, and pierced it through the side of his stomach. Van went face to face too Dravo, and look of surprise and shock swept through Van's face, while Dravo smirked and an evil tinge sparkled in his eyes, then Dravo's eyes widened as the feel of steel went piercing through his right chest. Hitomi on the ground stood in horror as Van and Dravo started to fall from the sky at the same time, and collided into the ground a few distances away from her and Escaflowne.

"no ...." whispered Hitomi in horror, as she stared at the lifeless bodies on the ground. She then ran up to Van and flipped him over on to his back making sure not to injure his wings, and then she lowered her ear to his chest and listened for a heart beat, he was still alive. The wound in his stomach didn't hit any major organs, and it was a clean cut and wasn't bleeding to badly that couldn't be taken care of by a tight bandage until the healers could take a look at it. "Van .... Van ...." Hitomi ripped her dress and started to apply pressure to the wound, and then tying it around Van's chest. "Van! ... Please wake up!" said Hitomi pleadingly, as she laid his head on to her knees.

Van slowly opened his eyes and peered up at Hitomi. "hitomi ....." moaned Van. Hitomi's eyes started to water and a smile of relief appeared on her face. Van smiled up at her, and then he forced himself up.

"Van you mustn't move!" said Hitomi, as she grabbed his arm, as he went to fall.

"I'll be okay but we ....." Van then trailed off as he noticed a bright light of electricity heading towards him and Hitomi. "HITOMI!!!!" yelled Van as he pushed Hitomi behind him, and then covered his face, and braced himself for the impact.

"BAADO!!!!!!!"

Van and Hitomi were pushed out of the way just in time as the electric ball collided into the body of the person that saved them. Van stared in amazement, and Hitomi in shock, as the person that saved them fell to the ground in a pile.

"DRAVO!!!!" yelled Hitomi, and she ran over to his side.

Van walked up behind Hitomi as she knelt down beside Dravo's bleeding body. "Ugh! I'm sorry for what happened. I didn't know until it was too late. I guess you could say that I was blinded by love." choked Dravo.

"dravo ....but why did you ...." Hitomi grabbed his hand and brought it to her chest.

"Humph. It's funny how things turn out, isn't it. *cough cough*" Dravo smiled at Hitomi, and he brought his other hand up to her cheek. "I'm sorry for what's happened to you and your friends ...." he then looks over at Van and lowers his hand from Hitomi's cheek and rest's it on his chest. "I hope you find it in your hearts to forgive a lifeless soul like mine. *cough cough* And your one lucky man, to have a girl like .... this ....." Dravo's hand dropped down from Hitomi's grasp, and his head tilted to the side as he closed his eyes, and took his final breath.

Hitomi closed her eyes as Van rested his hands on her shoulders, Hitomi then stood up and wrapped her arms around Van's waist, making sure not to apply to much pressure. Van rested his hands on Hitomi's shoulders, and closed his eyes. After a short few seconds Van opened his eyes and started to lead Hitomi towards Escaflowne. Then from out of the woods a blue mobile suit appeared infront of them, and it raised it's sword up into the air and then brought it down towards Hitomi and Van.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!" screamed Hitomi as Van wrapped his arms around her body, and covered her with his wings.

BANG!!!!

Van lowered his wings and arms and looked over where the mobile suit used to stay. Hitomi opened her eyes and looked at what was going on. The blue mobile suit had toppled over on to it's side, and was having trouble getting back up.

"Wha ... What happened?" stuttered Hitomi in confusion.

Just then the mobile suit got it's lever and started to pull itself up, but before it could get to it's feet, a giant gust of fire engulfed it, making it to over heat and explode. Hitomi and Van peered up at the sky as a dragon scream echoed through the sky.

"HA AHA HA! AND STAY DOWN!!!!" yelled Ryu as he rode on top of a white dragon.

Van looked up in astonishment for the white dragon looked exactly the same as Escaflowne in dragon mode. "Is that Ryu?" asked Hitomi as she watched the dragon by pass them again.

"I TOLD YA THAT I COULD HELP YA!!!!! SEE YA LOVE BIRDS!!!!" yelled Ryu, from upon the dragons back, and he then flew off to help Allen and the others to finish off the rest.

Van shook his head back and forth and closed his eyes, and a smirk spread across his face as his wings resided back into his body. He then opened his eyes and heard a strange noise, he turned his head around and noticed another ball of electricity heading towards them. Van pushed Hitomi away from him just when the electric ball hit him. Van went flying backwards, and then rolled to a stop on the ground.

"VAN!!!!" yelled Hitomi as she ran up beside him. Van clenched his stomach and peered over Hitomi's shoulder in anger. She then turned around to see what Van was looking at, only to see Baado.

"Hahahahaahahahaa!" laughed Baado as he walked closer to the two, but stopped beside Dravo's dead body, and he peered down at it with a smile, and then back at the two. "Dravo was just one of my many pawns. He was nothing but a nuisance in my plans since the very beginning. His death was inevitable."

"How can you say that! He was a living being!" shouted Hitomi. Van then stepped infront of her and raised his sword painfully up infront of him. "Van? ...."

Baado smiled and an evil smirk spread across his face. "So you want to fight me then? Humph! So be it!" smirked Baado, and he raised his right hand and formed another electrical ball.

The electrical ball shot out of Baado's hand and hit Van directly in the gut, making him fly backwards on top of Hitomi. Hitomi felt the pressure of Van's body slam into her and she fell backwards, with Van on top of her. Van moaned in pain but he got back on his feet and he looked down at Hitomi to make sure that she was all right. Hitomi rubbed her head and sat up. She was fine, Van then gathered up his strength and ran towards Baado. But Baado didn't even move, he just smirked. When Van was a short distance away from him, Baado raised his left arm into the air, and Van froze. Van looked puzzled how was he able to get him, when all Baado had to do, was just to raise his hand and command anything to happen. Van strained to get free of the invisible force but couldn't, he glared at Baado in frustration. Baado then made a motioning movement with his hand, and Van's body was pulled towards him. Van was now face to face with Baado, his whole body ached in pain, that he felt like he was going to pass out any minute, but he couldn't, he wouldn't not until he knew that Hitomi was safe and sound. Baado then stepped forward edging closer to Van, and he peeled the sword out of Van's grasp, and tossed it down to the ground, out of the way.

He then smirked and leaned in closer so that his head was beside Van's and whispered into his ear. "When I'm done with you. You can say good-bye to your little girlfriend!" After he said that a sharp pain engulfed Van's body.

Baado stepped back and watched the sight of him as he screamed in agony. Hitomi screamed for him to stop, but each time Baado increased the pain ten fold. Van screamed and he fell to the ground on his knees and arms. He opened his left eye and stared over at Hitomi who was yelling for Baado to stop.

"STOP!!! STOP IT!!!!! YOUR KILLING HIM!!!!!" screamed Hitomi, as she watched in horror as Van laid hunched over in pain. But Baado was to worked up, and he didn't take to much notice to Hitomi's pleas. "STOP!!!!!" tears rolled down Hitomi's cheek's and she brought her arms up to her chest. {I have to do something! I have to save Van!} screamed Hitomi in her mind. "STOP!!!!!!!!!!" Hitomi screamed and then her pendent began to glow a bright radiant red.

Baado raised his head, and his eyes widened. "WHAT!? NO!! BUT HOW CAN THIS BE!!!!" yelled Baado, as he brought his arms up to his face.

Van dropped down to the ground, and the pain stopped. He slowly raised his head to see Hitomi in a trance like state, her pendent that hung around her neck pulsed brightly, and then a bright light engulfed all that was around them. Baado screamed in pain as the power of the amulet engulfed him. Van then turned his head over to Baado just when a mysterious black shadow poured out of his body and disintegrate. Van then covered his eyes as a bright light flashed around them. After a brief moment, Van lowered his arms and he slowly raised himself up off of the ground, he then turned around to see Hitomi passed out on the ground.

"Hitomi!" yelled Van and he made his way over to her.

Hitomi stirred and then sat up when Van had reached her side. "Ugh! What happened? ... What happened to Baado!?" asked Hitomi as she stared up at Van. Van then turned his gaze over to the lying body on the ground, and Hitomi followed his gaze.

She then noticed the body lying on the ground and she then picked herself up and started to walk over towards Baado. "Hitomi wait!" yelled Van, but Hitomi ignored his pleas.

Hitomi kneeled down beside Baado's body and rolled him over, Baado coughed and spat out blood. He then slowly opened his eyes and peered up at Hitomi. "Yuri!? *cough cough*" a smile spread across Baado's face. "I ... I thought that I would never see you again. *hak hak* At least .... at least I get to see you one last time." Baado closed his eyes and coughed again more violently. His eyes opened again a single tear rolled down his cheek, and a small smile appeared. "How's father? and mother? are they well?" *hak hak*

Hitomi grasped one of his hands and brought his palm up to her cheek. "There fine. Everyone is just fine ....... brother." smiled Hitomi. Baado smiled back and then he leaned his head back on the ground and closed his eyes. Hitomi closed her eyes for a few seconds and then opened them, she then lowered his hand back on his chest and she slowly stood up. Van came up beside her limping and holding his side, he then looked over at Hitomi. "He wasn't like this you know. I had a vision when I was captured about my grandmother. This was her brother." Van's eyes widened. "He was taken over by an evil entity who wanted the power of this amulet." Hitomi grabbed the pendent around her neck and grasped it in her palm. "But in the end. It was the power of the amulet that destroyed it. Baado the real Baado was already dead but his soul still lived on inside the body, locked away like a secret treasure. Only now did it have the chance to finally be free of it's torment." Hitomi then laid the pendent back down on her chest, and sighed. Van then rested his arm around Hitomi's shoulder and pulled her near. Then they both turned around and headed towards Escaflowne.

Ah how sweet. Baado was possessed, and now is freed from the evil, and dies in peace. (sniff sniff) And poor Dravo! (starts bawling eyes out)It's not fair! Why do the good looking ones always die! (sniffles and wipes eyes) Okay I'm fine now, well the next chapter, yes another chapter. Well it should really be an epilogue, but oh well. Is just a follow up. Do the gang make it back to Gaea? Will Merle and Ryu reveal their true feelings, or will they separate not telling their feelings. Cause I'm telling ya, I don't think this long distance relationship will work. Will Hitomi go back to Earth, or stay with Van on Gaea? Or will it be the total opposite, and Van stays with Hitomi on earth? Imagine the headlines? Angel fallen down to earth, and married a human?
